The Guidelines on Fair Practices Codea for all NBFCs issued by RBI videcircular dated 18.02.2013 have been adopted and followed as under:
Nightingale Finvest Private Limited is an NBFC and RBI issued Certificate of Registration to it as NBFC MFI bearing COR No. B.08.00184. Prior to year 2011, the microfinance activities were carried out in the name of Nightingale Charitable Society which was under Societies Registration Act in the year 1998 and carried out microfinance activities from the year 2004 in the State of Assam. The micro credit is being provided only to poor and low income group of the society to generate more income and raising living standard. . Due to changing scenario of micro credit i.e MFI in the recent past in the country and in also keeping in view the expansion of activities of micro credit, it was felt necessity to change the legal entity of the society and accordingly the micro finance activities are being carried out now in the name of Nightingale Finvest Private Ltd., a NBFC. The Company has been started by a very well experienced and knowledgeable professional with vast experience and complimentary skill set in financing of MSMEs, Microfinance.
The Company is also engaged in Social activities like health check-up camps, cleanliness programmes, AIDs awareness, benefits of forestry, etc. The micro credit activities of the Company have since extended to un-served areas where other MFIs are not assessed to the areas and also to underserved areas where services of banks or other MFIs are not adequate or financial support from them are not available to poor and disadvantage people.
